Moments in Haiku

I’ve been feeling in the mood to write haiku this last week. So I retrieved my pen, completed two, and noticed that they shared a common theme: short moments in time. Here are a few snapshot haiku for your reading pleasure.

Finger pressed to lips;
An ephemeral moment
Carried on silence

*

At wingbeat’s apex
There’s an interstitial space
When all movement stills

*

The only constants
Are the ticking clock and the
Weight above my eyes

  1. I quite like groups of haiku. But I can’t help selecting lines to give you back a fourth – you probably had this one yourself already: stanza2,line1 + stanza3, line2 + stanza1, line 3 = haiku! Cheers 🙂
