Poetry 101 Rehab: Connection

I made my connection,
Only to go in the opposite direction.

I still feel your fingers on mine
As I look out the window and tap out the time-

-On my wrist-watch.
Waiting for my mates and the bottles of scotch.

I write inane love songs with paper and pen
Until we can meet in the middle again.

Every week I write a poem based on a prompt given by MaraEastern, however, she is on a blogging hiatus and the mantle has been picked up by the fantastic Andytownend.

This week the prompt was Connection. This response was inspired by my own long distance relationship, go check out the link I left earlier and give it a go!
